Description

Don Alan Mini Chop Cup | Aluminum | Polished Finish

Don Alan Mini Chop Cup

The Don Alan Mini Chop Cup | Aluminum | Polished Finish is the best little walk-around chop cup ever produced. The Don Alan Mini Chop Cup has a 2 inch mouth, requires little table space, can be used on your palm or a spectator's palm. The Don Alan Mini Size cup design incorporates a drastic radius in the rounded top that amplifies the size of the final load ball, creating an illusion that the ball is actually bigger than the cup when the load ball is rested on the cup's saddle.

Included is a 1 5/8" RNT Red Load Ball. Since the cup was originally designed to hold a golf ball for a load, it can be kind of difficult to find a crocheted load ball that fits well into this cup. We produce these balls specifically for this cup and include one with each purchase. Other colors are available, but only RNT Red is included.

We feel it is important to mention that different size balls can be used with this cup depending upon your preference. 7/8" diameter balls can be used, and even a 1" ball can be used, which gives the ball greater visibility, but there is a strong argument that smaller balls should be used to increase the contrast and surprise of the final load. We recommend and include 3/4" balls.

What a great little chop cup! I've been having a great time using it.
Comment
It came today and it is perfect in every way!

This would make a wonderful replacement for your Morrissey mini. They are no longer in production, so let it go! While it too could pass as a jigger or shot glass, it is a better product in many ways. First, the dimple is helpful if you need to place the ball on the top of the cup. Second, it has a nice weight to it and feels good in your hand and third, I find that the slope of the cup makes the final load production more dramatic.

The balls are adjustable, so no more slamming your cup down. It comes with a final load ball and a black velvet bag which you can use as a close up mat. It is perfect for strolling or hospitality work.

You could buy a cheaper product and save, $25.00, or spend hours searching the net in vain for something better, but why? This could be the last chop cup you ever buy!
Advantages
Very nice cup, and lightweight which is great for strolling.
Disadvantages
At the time of writing, there isn’t a solid version of the cup available, so if you would like to have the extra kicker ending, get a mini Paul Fox cup.
Comment
If you can be forgetful like me, it would be easy to lose the small balls, so I suggest buying some extras as backups.
